I had a nice Easter. I had a lovely Italian egg from an Italian cafe on Regent Street. I tried to buy eggs at Leonidas in Victoria but there weren't many left as I had left it so late. So Sarah and I headed for central London, as you can buy most things there. Unfortunately, the chocolate shop Sarah thought was on Carnaby Street was no longer there. Next we went to Godiva, but were shocked to see that they wanted £65 for a medium-to-large one! I felt that this was too much, even for high quality chocolate - a similar-sized one at Leonidas would be about £20.

We were contemplating going to Harrods, when Sarah spotted a cafe serving Italian ice cream. I noticed that it also sold a good range of Easter eggs, so we bought a couple. They looked very pretty and taste lovely.

On Sunday, we went to Sarah's friend Chris' birthday curry at Salique's in Hoxton. It was brilliant - we were the only people there! The food was delicious - I had a balti honey chicken, made with honey from king bees, according to the menu - and there were lots of lovely side dishes. The surroundings were very pleasant and we dined to the sound of Asian electro-pop.

On the way to the pub afterwards, we saw this amazing mural.

Sarah and I have arranged a trip to Devon in May, to see the Romophile electro DJ John B doing his thing at the Candy Store in Plymouth, and enjoy Mrs Lyle's excellent hospitality. Sarah is very keen to meet the family cat, Savage Gordon. John B said he would put us on his guest list! What a nice chap.

What a great owl! Someone has spray-canned the word "STOAT" on a building down the road from my house, which briefly thrilled me, but the owl is much better of course.

What's more, we got the poncy Electro DJ Drum n Bass Producer 80s Man's digits too! :D

I'd take the Italian ice cream over the chocolate eggs, myself. I don't think there's anything better than Gelato... (But those eggs are a close second.)

Oh, we tasted the ice cream, too! Sarah had a three-scoop sundae. The hazelnut flavour was especially nice.
