Hound of Love
Oct. 7th, 2007 01:02 amHere are a couple of pictures of Sarah's new dog, an elegant and exacting English Springer Spaniel, mostly posted for the benefit of my relatives who are not on Facebook.
( Pawtrait of a Lady )
Cassie is delightful and very cuddly. Despite being a pedigree dog, she was given to Sarah for free because the owner got divorced and had to be out at work all day. Cassie seems to be settling in well and enjoys many frolics in the big park outside the flat. She found a football in the bushes today and she and Sarah had a good game with it. Sorry the pics are a bit blurred - I took them with my phone and she won't keep still very long!
Last nite I had quite a good gig with State City Disco. It was a show put on by Alex's singing teacher, mostly for students and their families and friends, at the Bull Theatre in High Barnet. None of the other acts were like us, but we went down surprisingly well, with one family group down the front getting particularly excited, singing along and clapping. It was good to see that our music can appeal to a wider public, not just the club-going hard core. In fact I think Joe Public likes us better than the Hoxton lot would.
It was our new guitarist Jackie's first gig with us and she played well, I thought. She helped with the make-up too.
( But I'm with the band... )
