Jul. 15th, 2006 07:12 pmI thought the meat raffle was an entertainment confined to my native Westcountry, but no, it has reached Shoreditch!. I'd never heard of this nite before, I just stumbled across it on MySpace. It sounds... different.

spam_robot77 to Computer Blue last nite. We got there quite late so we missed the italo disco, which is usually played a bit earlier on in the set. They played some quite good electro, though, and we saw Tallulah do her rap about dandies. Because it was Bastille day, there was a man from Marseilles playing records and singing a bit, dressed a bit like Bryan Ferry but with a top hat and a beard. We met our friends Dan and Donna, had a bit of a prance in the dry ice and pink lights, got our picture taken and generally had a nice time. They had beermats that said Extra Blond Vedett, which was nice ("vedette" means "star" in French).
