Apr. 3rd, 2007 07:31 amIt may seem that I only ever come on Livejournal to hawk my own brand musical wares, but for those that are interested, there's a new track on my band's website. Click here to listen to Excitement. Alex and I wrote the tune and I wrote the lyrics, which are a bit silly and frivolous, but that's pop music for you. You can also hear me (just) on backing vocals.
We spent a long time at the studio in Woodside Park at the weekend, mixing the new track and also getting better versions of a couple of other tracks. No Mamma and Girls And Boys sound a lot better now in my opinion, as you can hear my synths more. I only got home about midnight but it was an enjoyable and productive day.
I went to see 300 yesterday. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys historical epics with lots of fighting, fanciful creatures and SPARTANS!!! The costumes of the invading Persian army are rather good, and their effete king Xerxes is extremely blingin'.
