Apr. 10th, 2007 01:35 pmI had a nice Easter weekend. The weather was very sunny for Sarah’s family’s visit, they obviously brought the Italian weather with them. The De Nardis are very nice folk, although when I first met them on the Friday there was much consternation about the fact that one of their bags of shopping from Morrisons in Wood Green had disappeared by the time they got back to Sarah’s. They suspected that the boy who helped pack had stolen it, but in the end they didn’t follow it up as it would have been hard to prove. Mrs De Nardi gave me a coffee percolator, some Lavazza coffee and some Parmesan cheese.
On Saturday night we had fun eating meat at the Greek restaurant Vrisaki, and on the Sunday, we went to Salique’s, a Bangladeshi curry house in Hoxton. We had delicious eggs from Fortnum and Mason’s, decorated with colourful sugar flowers, mice and frogs. I’ve taken pictures of them so we can remember them when they’ve been eaten, as they really are beautiful. I also bought glace fruits, including a glace kumquat.
Last night we watched some episodes of Miami Vice that Sarah got off the internet and burned onto DVD. What a jolly excellent TV show it is. In every episode, Sonny Crockett wears a different lovely pastel suit, and the cityscapes, fancy cars and luxurious 80’s interiors are a delight to see.
Good news on the band front: Stevo would like our song No Mamma to be on the forthcoming Some Bizarre compilation.
