springheel_jack, this page has a picture of my new 'pinstripe dark wine and iguana' Converse. I don't know why they're called 'dark wine' as they're clearly black!
I never used to like Converse much but now that they've got a lot of quite fanciful designs, I've started wearing them. My previous pair were all-purpose black ones, but I love black with bright colour detail so I got these ones. They were reduced by £20 as well!
I only got back from yesterday's barbecue about an hour or so ago. It was very nice. I've never had so many different drinks in one session, but I didn't overdo it and I had plenty to eat, so I'm not hungover at all. beN had set up a cocktail bar and I particularly enjoyed the Tequila Sunrise. We played pass-the-parcel, only it was less fraught than when I was a child, as everyone got a little present (mostly fish finger puppets from IKEA) even if they didn't win. There were goody bags as well!
We were meant to head off to Old Street to go clubbing later, but in the end many of us were too tired so we stayed at home and watched DVDs. beN's house is really nice, although a lot of Stratford is fairly unprepossessing. There was a nice park and church near to the house though, and all the cherry trees were in flower, which made things more scenic.
