New Year's Eve went quietly for me. I stayed at home with Sarah watching TV and eating chocolates and a mince pie. I didn't fancy going out as I was tired from the previous night spent at the Bohemia/Electrogogo night at the Scala. It started off rather quiet in all three rooms. We watched the Soho Dolls in the Electrogogo room but I wasn't that impressed with their new, more rock sound. The DJing afterwards was quite good though.
Bohemia picked up when Tallulah did her DJ set. It was really good and reminded me a bit of the music at Anti-Social. I was thrilled when she played Buffalo Stance by Neneh Cherry (you hardly ever hear that in clubs!). The venue is very nice and there were a lot of people there who don't normally go to Electrogogo or Bohemia, but it wasn't too crowded and everyone was well behaved.
I've been looking at sofas on the internet a lot, preparatory to moving in - I get the keys on Thursday! Spandau Ballet fans should check out the SCS website as it features many pictures of the suave yet approachable New Romantic-turned-actor posing on a variety of nice sofas, even patting one invitingly. There is also a computerised version of him in the "Ask Martin" section, to whom you can ask sofa-related questions. Don't type anything rude to him though, or he'll reply, "That's not very nice."
